A core tutor & curriculum designer on a Level 5 Post-Qualifying Diploma in Trauma-Informed Counselling Children & Young People (CPCAB). I co-mapped the course to BACP's CYP competences & curriculum & to BAAT & HCPC guidelines.

Senior Lecturer - lecturing in Art Psychotherapy.
I founded Art Psychotherapy MSc level qualifying training in Northern Ireland. Designing the MSc programme from the mid/late 1990s, I led its initial CPSM / HPC approval & University validation and subsequent HCPC approvals & re-validations. I led the training from when I established it in 2002 in Queen's University, later in the BHSCT, & then in Ulster University. I designed the training as trauma-informed art psychotherapy grounded in pluralistic practice and sound ethical governance. I retired as a Senior Lecturer & Programme Leader of the MSc Art Psychotherapy in Autumn 2019. I continued to teach on the programme from 2019 to Autumn 2023 - I and a number of other tutors stepped away for ethical reasons. (The NI MSc course has been reduced, changed & directed down a different path.)
A past Deputy Chair of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) for three years, having also served as a Trustee for nine years.
